Young Musicians' Showcase - Produced by Richard Dacey

Young Musicians' Showcase - Produced by Richard Dacey

This concert, a regular and popular Festival event since 1978, features young performers up to the age of 18 from Banstead and the surrounding area, all of whom are outstandingly talented. A number of former participants in this event have gone on to professional careers in music and the chance to experience emerging talent makes the evening a special pleasure.

This year we are pleased to welcome Richard Dacey as our new talent-scout. Having studied at the Royal College of Music and University of London, he has been Director of Music at Repton School, and Head of Performing Arts at Wigston Academy Trust, Leicester, has conducted and trained choirs of all ages in this country and abroad, and at present is Director of Music at Epsom Parish Church.

This concert is kindly sponsored by Specsavers Banstead
